Providing crime prevention services for almost 30 years, the John Howard Society of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton is a non-profit, multi service organization with offices located in Lindsay and Minden. The Society offer programs that aim to reduce repeat offences among people who have been in trouble with the law, and prevent delinquent behaviour among youth who may be at risk of offending. The John Howard Society believes that crime can be reduced through social and educational programs and the active involvement of an informed community. Our multi-funded agency has a mandate of ‘Effective, just, and humane responses to crime and its causes’.
