About THE KEN AND ANN WATTS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
The Ken & Ann Watts Memorial Scholarship Foundation was founded in 1982. We award Scholarships and Bursaries to High School Participants in the Sears Ontario Drama Festival, to students entering a Theatre program at a College or University. To qualify to apply, a student must be a participant in a play entered into the Sears Ontario Drama Festival, the year of application. The students involvement is not limited to Acting, but can be anything from Writing, Directing, Stage Management, Costumes, Set Design and every other job description that is required to mount a stage production. A Scholarship Committee reviews every application and interviews each applicant. Their decision is announced on the final night of the Ontario Festival. The Foundation currently awards four Scholarships and Four Bursaries each year.
