Our Mission
The Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston's mission is to provide leadership in learning disabilities education, advocacy and services in Kingston & area to advance the full participation of children, youth and adults with learning disabilities in today’s society.
About The Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston
The Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston (LDAK) is a volunteer based charitable organization, and a chapter of the provincial LDA of Ontario. We provide resources and education on learning disabilities, advocacy, and direct services to support the LD community. LDAK offers ongoing workshops, presentations/webinars, periodic programs and a newsletter to assist children/youth with learning disabilities and their support network, including families and educators. We act as a local information hub for learning disabilities, raising awareness and making referrals to other agencies to meet community needs. LDAK has representation on the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) with local school boards and values promoting positive change through strategic partnerships and innovation.
