The LSCSS Better at Home program provides light housekeeping for older adults in Keremeos and surrounding areas on a regular scheduled basis. These services are aimed to help seniors stay independent AND comfortable in their  homes as they age.

Better at Home is funded by the Government of B.C. and managed by United Way British Columbia Healthy Aging. This program is delivered by LSCSS through a partnership with OneSky Community Resources. 

We are grateful for regular funding support; however, the demand for services in Keremeos and area is higher than regular funding can support. Generous support from the Community Foundation Okanagan Similkameen, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 192 and private citizens help us support additional vulnerable elders. 

Our team of caring Multi-Service Workers housekeeping duties encompass so much more than simple cleaning tasks. Their services informally include keeping a watchful eye, providing information, reporting to a team who may recommend referrals to addition supports and provide advocacy, providing peer support, and helping to address loneliness and isolation.
