Our Mission
We work with our community to help relieve poverty in families with children under the ages of 3 by acquiring and supplying basic necessities for these children including diapers, formula etc. We also act as the voice of the children in the community and raise awareness of the need for assistance.
About The Meadow Rose Society
Founded in 2011, The Meadow Rose Society fills an incredibly important gap in the services available for families in need. Even with support from other resources, many families have very little leftover to purchase the basics for their babies. In fact, 1 in 5 British Columbia children lives in poverty.
The Meadow Rose Society helps families from Abbotsford to Chilliwack by providing basics like diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, juice, snacks and toiletries. We also provide vouchers for clothing, and larger items like car seats and high chairs when possible.
Typically our clients are families in crisis, which can include grandparents or guardians with full custody. We provide a comfortable storefront environment in downtown Chilliwack for these caregivers and parents to access. We also provide emergency after-hours service.
