The quality of patient care is a top priority for Bowmanville Hospital and for our Foundation - thank you for your continued support.  

When equipment reaches a point where they become less reliable, more expensive to maintain or is simply eclipsed by new and better technology, they must be replaced.  While the government does provide hospitals with the essentials, it does not provide the funding required to purchase and/or replace vital equipment needed to care for our patients.

As approved by our Board of Directors and upon further review with the Capital Management Committee we will focus on the importance of the Capital support to the Expansion & Redevelopment and Equipment.

As way of an update and upon further triage, the C-ARM has been identified as the most critical piece of equipment with high priority.  This piece of equipment provides vital, lifesaving care to patients each and every day.  A C-Arm machine is an advance medical imaging device based on X-ray technology and is used for fluoroscopy capabilities.

The ‘End of Life’ Equipment Fundraiser will enable staff at Bowmanville Hospital to continue providing quality healthcare for the community of Clarington.  The requested ‘end of life’ equipment is as follows:

Mobile Fluoroscopy (C-Arm)              $250,000.00
