The Nature Trust of BC is launching a campaign to conserve the Park Rill Creek property in the South Okanagan. This 32.2 hectare (80 acre) property has been identified as a high priority for acquisition due to its location and proximity to our White Lake Basin Biodiversity Ranch.
"The White Lake Basin is one of the gems in The Nature Trust of BC's conservation land portfolio," says Nick Burdock, Okanagan Land Coordinator for The Nature Trust. "You really get the sense that this piece of land has been cared for in a way that protected its conservation values."
The property features habitat for two endangered species: Rusty Cord-moss and the Half-moon Hairstreak butterfly. Also, the Red-listed Brewer's Sparrow has been confirmed on the property.
