Our Mission
The Oakville Symphony - founded in 1967 - is a thriving community orchestra which enriches our community's culture by bringing the inspirational experience of music to its musicians and audiences of all ages.
About OAKVILLE SYMPHONY
We're thrilled to be starting a new chapter of our 55-year history under the baton of Maestro Lorenzo Guggenheim in the 2022-23 season.
Kenneth Hollier, experienced musician and conductor, founded the Oakville Symphony in 1967.
The large core of community musicians is supported by eleven professionals who lead and instruct various sections. Each season talented guest artists perform with the orchestra. The Oakville Symphony is proud of its Young Artists Program which provides playing scholarships for young musicians. The Hollier Award is also presented to a promising young local student musician each year.
Our mini-concerts for kids and popular Family Holiday Concert ensure that we inspire audiences of all ages.
