Protection and re-development of the former Musquodoboit Harbour Elementary School building was a key goal in Musquodoboit Harbour's new Community Vision.

That's the Old School!

The Old School Community Gathering Place Cooperative is an old elementary school that was taken on by the rural community of Musquodoboit Harbour to help further the goals of the area’s new community vision. Currently, the Old School provides space for a variety of community events, programs and activities to promote the health, well-being, cultural and artistic expression, and community spirit of people of all ages in Musquodoboit Harbour and the surrounding area. The Old School hosts several events such as wellness workshops, Petals and Paint, Fall for Books, The Halifax Explosion:Our Eastern Shore Stories, concerts, Art exhibits, and is home to the Musquodboit Harbour Community Garden, and Eastern Shore Mental Health. The building is a municipally recognized heritage site established in 1924. We are open to the public year-round and welcome new volunteers, members, and ideas!
