Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre

about

The Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village, now Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre, was established to preserve and promote the history of the Upper Ottawa Valley. This dynamic museum, owned and managed by the Ottawa Valley Historical Society, will collect, preserve, research, exhibit and interpret its collection of artifacts and archival material.

The Historical Society’s vision is to inspire learning and creativity through a shared understanding of Pembroke and area’s heritage. Anchored by its collection of artifacts, the Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre connects the history of Pembroke and area with contemporary life by telling compelling stories through exhibitions and programming for all ages.

Take a trip back in time as you stroll through our museum and pioneer village. With one of the largest collections of Ottawa Valley artifacts, the Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre is truly a must-see!
