The Pine Project fosters confidence, competence, resilience and connection to nature through transformative outdoor experiences for all ages in Toronto and beyond.
Our work inspires a vital re-connection between people and nature, community and oneself. We work primarily with children and families in the urban context, delivering innovative year-round outdoor programming. Our programs include weekly programming for children during the school year, overnight camps in South Central Ontario, as well as highly sought-after day camps in Toronto. We also offer family experiences and educator training programs for professionals.
We currently work with over 1400 people per year, with over 600 in long term mentoring relationships where we support children to grow into healthy, active, and resilient people. Our goal is to inspire nature connection in childhood, so that the next generation may grow up with the connections that recent generations have lost.
With your support, we can inspire children to cherish and care for the Earth. Your generosity helps families in financial need attend our programs. Donations also support activities that improve the impact of our programs, such as staff training, program resources, and much more.
What People Are Saying
"This is the BEST education beyond the standard classroom. It offers children hands on learning by instructors who care about each child as an individual, providing them with a wealth of knowledge of the natural world in a classroom that is ever changing."
