We are a local public foundation that builds and manages endowment funds to support charitable activities in the North Cariboo region of BC
Our Mission
The Quesnel Community Foundation was founded to meet the needs of our community through the growth and management of a permanent Community Investment Fund. In 2011, we surpassed $1 million in this Fund, ten years after we were founded.
We use the income from these funds to give out grants to deserving local organizations which respond to a broad range of community needs.
We also manage and award scholarships and manage other funds.
We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life within our community.
About THE QUESNEL COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Quesnel Community Foundation is a public charity that gives grants to projects to help improve or address an issue in our community. We have a permanent Community Investment fund, which will never be spent.
To date, we have given out $315,000 in grants to deserving community groups since we were founded in 2001.
We are autonomous and governed by a volunteer board of local leaders.
We are a member of Community Foundations of Canada and receive advice and assistance from them, as well as the Vancouver Foundation.
