The Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 2008 as a community orchestra for the community.  Under Dr. Jessica Kun, Conductor and Artistic Director, the orchestra has grown to include 65 musicians, performing 5 concerts each season at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.  The RHPO enriches lives and the cultural climate of the community through concerts and educational programs, liaison and collaboration with other arts and community groups, and by offering the opportunities for musicians from York Region to perform together.  The players and Dr. Kun are all volunteers and the orchestra depends on funding from gifts, grants, sponsorships, and concert ticket sales.
