Our Mission
The RMR Foundation exists to serve the best interests of The Royal Montreal Regiment and undertake tasks to assist any member body of the Regimental Family.
The Foundation is constituted to provide assistance to member bodies of the Regimental Family, including support to affiliated cadet units, supporting the non-military professional development of serving members of the RMR (eg. Educational and career assistance, professional development, networking opportunities, etc), support to the RMR Association (Branch 14, Royal Canadian Legion (RCL)), and the continuing development of meaningful links between the RMR and our supporting municipal communities.
About Our Charity: The Royal Montreal Regiment (RMR) Foundation was originally formed as the Westmount Armoury Association (WAMA) during the 1920's with the aim of raising funds to finance the building of the present Armoury, which was dedicated to the memory of all ranks of the Regiment who made the supreme sacrifice.
Since then the RMR Foundation has served as the charitable arm of The Royal Montreal Regiment's extended family, raising funds to provide assistance to the needs of The Royal Montreal Regiment family, and to serve the best interests of the RMR.
