The Salvation Army Cedarbrae has a very robust community services in a very high needs area of the city. We are located in a very diverse multi-cultural region with a large number of new immigrants moving in on a regular basis. It is also centered in a location of newly arrived international students attending the local colleges.

Here are some of the programs that we are running to support the surrounding community:

-Our food bank and clothing, supporting approximately 600+ families, representing 1200 children.

-Our Christmas Toy Program include the distribution of toys to needy families with an increase from the regular food bank user.

-Our School Breakfast Program onsite in the local schools in the community, ensuring that children arriving at school hungry, are fed before they begin their classes.

-Our After School Program that creates a safe place for children in our facility until their parents arrive home. Creative programming and food are provided.

-Our School Back Program provides a Backpack and School supplies to children who are from low income families. A way of supporting a good start to a new school year.

-Our Pathway of Hope is a case management model, giving an opportunity for those who desire to move beyond the Food Bank to meaningful employment and independence. This may include resume writing, coaching for interviews, referrals, etc.
