Sashbear Vision
Making waves on Mental Health by building environments for the advancement of life coping skills.
Mission
Our mission is to raise awareness of emotion dysregulation and suicide prevention and bring accessible tools, skills and hope to families, friends and allies. We do this through community, national and international programs, advocacy and resources.
Through our efforts, we will bring positive changes to create a more validating environment for everyone by:
- Eliminating the stigma around Borderline Personality Disorder and emotion dysregulation
- Promoting access to affordable treatment services leading to improved quality of life
- Disseminating effective life coping and interrelationship skills
- Informing and mobilizing family and friends to seek the skills training needed to support loved ones when they struggle
What participants of Family Connections psycho-education skills based group are saying:
“After the first few sessions we began to notice improvements in the dynamics at home. We have a better understanding of our adolescent with BPD [and emotion dysregulation] and how we can communicate in a way that is effective. There is a renewed sense of calm in our home. And this program has helped us to accept our current reality so we can be active participants in creating a new one.” - A Family Connections™ participant at Sashbear
