To provide basic humanitarian services to the disadvantaged, and to further the education of economically disadvantaged children and youth.
The Steele Family Foundation (The SFF) is a charitable foundation serving three pillars with a grass roots mindset.
- EDUCATION: Teaching our youth so they can have a brighter future without poverty.
- HOSPICE SERVICES: fulfilling basic needs such a food, clothing and shelter.
- COMMUNITY SUPPORT: enriching lives and bringing values to our society.
As a small family of venture philanthropists, we are looking for like minded individuals to join us in giving back and making a true difference. With The Steele Family Foundation, donors have the opportunity to give freely or become more involved by partnering and investing with us in an ongoing journey that's focused on changing people's lives for the better. This is an opportunity to donate at a grass roots level while making a sizable impact.
Mission:
At The SFF, our goal is to provide education, basic humanitarian services and community support to the disadvantaged at a grass roots level.
We are constantly supporting local homeless and hospice services. Contact us for more information.
Special project with our Education Pillar: THE SACRED TRUST PROJECT
The Sacred Trust Project is a project to build an elementary school for children in need of an education. It was introduced to the Steele family in the winter of 2013 while making an annual donation to the Missionaries of Charity (founded by Mother Theresa). One of the sisters explained that Sacred Trust (a public charitable trust registered under the laws of India) had a great cause to support and was in need of the funds because the school project had run out of money before it could be completed. Following Michael Steele’s trip to visit Sacred Trust in India during the Spring of 2014, The Steele Family Foundation added the following mission to its charitable purpose: “To further the education of economically disadvantaged children and youth by constructing, equipping, staffing, maintaining and operating schools or other educational facilities in impoverished areas of the world.” Together with Sacred Trust, the Foundation plans to fund the construction of a 3-storey school in the village of Mathigiri, which is located in an impoverished area of Tamil Nadu, South India. The proposed school in Mathigiri will benefit approximately 1500 rural poor children. Visit our website to learn more or to make a donation (www.thesteelefamilyfoundation.com)
