We’re developing a series of short-format documentary videos to share the diverse and compelling histories of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario. These videos will be used in exhibits, classrooms, and online platforms — expanding access to local stories across communities.

🔹 Featured Project: Thunder Bay History Overview

We’re producing a 10-minute orientation video for the Museum’s first-floor theatre. This video will introduce visitors to the City’s rich history and diverse cultural heritage. It will be:

• Available in English, French, and Anishinaabemowin (with subtitles or a mix of spoken language and captions)
• Inclusive and accessible, designed with truth and reconciliation in mind
• A foundational resource for school tours, newcomers, and tourists

🔹 Additional Videos in Development:

• Short documentaries on local industries, community activism, cultural heritage, and behind-the-scenes museum stories

We are seeking:A self-directed filmmaker or producer to manage these projects with minimal staff supervision, from development to delivery. This work may form part of upcoming Ontario Arts Council grant applications, and the right partner will be credited and compensated through available funding or donations.
