About Us
The Today Family Violence Help Centre, also known as The Today Centre, is a community‑focused charity providing immediate, inclusive, and integrated support to adults affected by family violence. Working in collaboration with more than 300 community agencies and programs, we offer a coordinated network of care that strengthens the community’s response to family violence. We also deliver education and training for businesses, nonprofit organizations, community groups, and youth.
As a first point of contact for individuals experiencing abuse—regardless of gender, sexual orientation, culture, religion, or socioeconomic background—The Today Centre helps people move toward safety and healing. Our Family Violence Specialists provide personalized safety planning, education on the impacts of family violence, risk assessments, and connections to essential supports, all at no cost.
