Toronto Classical Singers

about

Toronto Classical Singers is the only choir in the country dedicated exclusively to the great choral/orchestral repertoire. Now in its 31st season, the organization continues to celebrate and contribute to the tradition of choral music in Canada.

Known for its unique musical point-of-view and its diverse and high-quality programming, the choir features lesser-known and rarely performed pieces as well as the beloved vocal/orchestral repertoire.  Led by founding conductor Jurgen Petrenko, the choir has a long-standing partnership with Talisker Players who accompany the choir in their presentations of the great choral masterpieces.

Join us, the orchestra and our soloists for Gerald Finzi’s radiant and optimistic In Terra Pax, and Joseph Haydn’s joyful, energetic St. Nicolas Mass. On April 14, 2024, we will perform Schubert’s Mass in C and Mozart’s Vespers, pieces showing both composers’ love of the voice, through sections infused with a sense of opera.

Donations help cover the costs of producing concerts that feature a full array of musical possibilities while providing opportunities for promising performers to establish their careers.

We are grateful for every contribution and encourage you to strengthen Toronto’s performing arts and cultural community by supporting TCS.
