For more than 125 years, the Toronto United Church Council has worked with its church community to connect resources with ministry. Through professional advice, financial support, and leadership development, Council enables the church to meet the social and spiritual challenges of the day.
About THE TORONTO UNITED CHURCH COUNCIL
Toronto United Church Council works with congregations and social outreach organizations within Toronto Conference, which covers much of south central Ontario.
Council's roots date back to 1892 when the Massey family mobilized Toronto's wealthy Methodists to build a more vibrant church. Beginning as the church's banker and real estate advisor and later assuming responsibility for Toronto's social services, Council has a long history of balancing the business of church infrastructure with outreach ministry.
Individual donations, the establishment of family funds, bequests, and planned gifts all enable church members to fulfill our faith calling to live in gratitude for God's generosity and to lead in the building of a just society that responds generously to the needs of all.
