Our Mission
In January 2003, a task force of community and civic leaders was struck by the City of Vaughan to assess how best to bring additional health care resources including a hospital to the community of Vaughan. This Task Force then formed The Vaughan Health Care Foundation (VHCF), a volunteer-driven charity, in early 2004. Since its inception, the Foundation has been working to engage the community and to raise funds to support the establishment of health care facilities and services, including a hospital, for the City of Vaughan.
A hospital is a necessary component in the effort to sustain a healthy, competitive and vibrant Vaughan community; the Vaughan Health Care Foundation is committed to ensuring this goal is realized. Of course, none of the progress to date could have been realized without the help we continue to receive from the community.
Together we will continue to strive and ultimately succeed in realizing our goal for better health care services for our families and for our future in Vaughan.
