The Virtual Stage Arts Society distinguishes itself within the Canadian theatre scene with a cutting-edge mandate to explore a dynamic emerging art form, incorporating elements from a variety of exciting new media. The organization is interested in how technological advancements can support storytelling and how they might assist in the creation of an emerging art form: a fusion of theatre and film. Drawing upon a wealth of television, motion picture and live theatre expertise, its award-winning team of artists challenges the traditional border between theatre and film and provokes the audience to reconsider existing conventions.
