WHO WE ARE...
The aim of the YEAH (Youth, Education, Arts and Health) Foundation is to empower marginalized and at risk youth by providing life changing programs and mentorship, that will inspire and encourage them to become active members of our community. The YEAH Foundation believes that every young person should have the opportunity, confidence and support required to lead safe and fulfilling lives.
WHAT WE DO...
YEAH encourages youth to be responsible and to make choices that will build a brighter future for themselves and the generation to come.
YEAH encourages employers to support our youth by offering them employment. We work with companies such as trades, manufacturing, retail and services. Employers are paid an incentive of 8-10 weeks to train all participants. YEAH has supported 102 youth to date and have placed 63% in full-time employment and 10% have returned to higher education.
YEAH acts as a point of contact for youth in the target range by working collaboratively with other community health agencies such as youth shelters, court diversion programs, community health initiatives, mental health and crisis services and local school boards.
YEAH Promotes sports activities and educate youth on the importance of health, fitness and nutrition.
YEAH Promotes education on financial literacy and advance educational opportunities through the foundation's scholarship fund.
