This spring, with the help of a Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) grant from the Government of Canada, we embarked on our first-ever cross-country tour to hear from a diverse group of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities that support The ArQuives’ vision and mandate. 

The ArQuives is committed to making 2SLGBTQIA+ history accessible to everyone; educating, informing, and inspiring future generations.

Storage and management of the collection is just the start – exhibitions, educational programming, and workshops help us connect with community members from around the world. 

The Community Ties: Our Future Together tour took us from Newfoundland to Winnipeg and Edmonton and up to Yukon. We visited 12 cities and spoke with community members who are passionate about keeping our communities’ stories and history safe.
