Theatre Kingston, produces provocative, exciting and challenging work with the people of Kingston for the people of Kingston and Canada.

Our Mission
To produce intellectually provocative theatrical work at a high level of professional competence. To produce work that enriches the Kingston community, and which draws upon and contributes to the innovations of the global theatre community. Such work would include, but not be limited to, plays for and about Kingston, which acknowledge the city's cultural diversity, and challenging works not normally produced by other theatres in the region. To foster and promote Canadian theatre through the creation and development of new work, and through the production of recent and older Canadian works alongside works from the international repertoire. To provide outreach and an educational theatrical resource for the community. To facilitate the development of performing artists, designers, directors, playwrights, and other theatre professionals in the region.
About THEATRE KINGSTON
Theatre Kingston strives to provide emerging artists in the community with opportunities to work with and connect to professional artists from all over Canada. Our primary goal is to give our audiences examples of the art form at a calibre seen on the stages of the major Canadian urban centres. Theatre is, at its core, about friendship and working together. And for this reason, we will be looking for ways to help other practitioners in the city develop their skills and have more opportunities to practice them. We are driven by the mission to continually strengthen the city’s theatre community and to allow the possibility for our stories and our artists to move beyond the city limits into the Canadian cultural landscape.
