WHO WE SUPPORT:
The Feedway Foundation (formerly the Penticton Speedway Foundation) has been raising money for the community for over 25 years. What began as 50/50 raffles at race events has grown into fundraising events, lottery raffles, partnerships, and more. Six years ago, we became a registered charity and rebranded under our current name.
We raise funds to support children, families, seniors, and animals in our community. Every dollar raised stays local, and our volunteer-run board takes no administration fees.
Our primary focus is the Penticton Breakfast Club, which provides reliable access to a nutritious breakfast in a safe, supportive school environment—helping improve student health, social development, and learning. The program currently operates at Queens Park, Westbench, and Columbia Elementary schools, as well as Connect Ed, all part of SD67. We also provide funding to all other schools in the district to strengthen their programs.
With your donations, we are able to serve a nutritious breakfast, prepared by volunteers, five days a week, free of charge, to any student at these schools who wish to participate. We serve 800-1000 breakfasts a week and have an army of 70+ volunteers.
By making the program open, we help break any stigmas attached to the program. Through the program, students are prepared for learning on a daily basis, based on the principle that a hungry student is not equipped to learn and that a nutritious breakfast positively impacts student focus, concentration and behavior.
Beyond breakfast programs, the Feedway Foundation also contributes to organizations across the South Okanagan, including:
- ALERT - Animal Lifeline Emergency Response Team
- Discovery House
- Carmi Recreational Trails Society (helping to improve the trails for families have a free, accessible place for outdoor recreation)
- Keremeos Community Church (free senior lunch meal program)
- JumpStart
- SOWINS
- United Way
- South Okanagan Children’s Charity
- Cadets (788 Dragoons Royal Canadian Army Cadets / 259 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets)
- Critteraid
- Happy Tails Cat Rescue Society
- AlleyCats Alliance
- The Foundry Penticton Youth Centre
- Agur Lake Camp
- Junior Chamber International - Penticton
We also provide emergency relief for families in need, continuing our mission to strengthen the community year-round.

HOW MONEY IS RAISED:
We receive support from individuals and businesses, plus local groups like the Penticton Hospital Auxiliary, the Eagles, The Elks, Rotary, Community Foundation/100 Women+Men Who Care, to name a few.
We also brought back the very popular and well-known event “Business Gives Back” event in 2019 and raised over $70,000 in our first year. In 2024, we raised over $160,000 in one afternoon thanks to local businesses and business people supporting our cause! Business Gives Back happens every Black Friday at the Barking Parrot in Penticton.
We host raffles, comedy nights, BBQs and other fundraisers to raise money.
Thank you for your support!
