THE IMPROV CENTRE has been the cornerstone of Vancouver’s comedy scene for over 40 years. Known for making audiences laugh with fast-paced, completely unscripted shows, TIC features an ensemble of Vancouver’s funniest and most talented improvisers.
From their world-famous Theatresports™ matches to specialty formats and one-night-only specials, The Improv Centre sets the standard for improv comedy and is recognized as Vancouver's top comedy venue. Located on scenic Granville Island, it entertains both locals and visitors alike with performances that celebrate creative spontaneity.
Beyond being a performance space, TIC is also a vibrant training ground for new and experienced performers. With a full curriculum of classes and workshops – from beginner-friendly intros to advanced-level intensives – The Improv Centre nurtures talent and fosters a strong comedy community.
As a registered charity, The Improv Centre is committed to making comedy accessible to those who need it most. TIC provides scholarships to emerging improvisors from underrepresented communities, free multi-week coaching in under-resourced schools, complimentary tickets for local community groups, and monthly community improv jams at no cost to participants.
