Our main goal is to provide safe navigation and river safety for those using the St. Lawrence River. Each year the Thousand Islands Association (TIA) places more than 200 shoal markers from the Bateau Channel to Brockville and in association with Save the River in the US more than 100 markers from Cape Vincent to Morristown.
As a not for profit organization, TIA relies on our membership and donations to continue its programs and activities: AGM and shore breakfast, Dock, Deck & Den Tour, Riverkeeper Program. Most important these membership fees and donations provide the funds necessary to maintain what many believe to be the most important safety program on he river, our shoal marking program.
We promote river safety, environmental awareness and community support
