Our Mission

Tikva Housing is a non-profit society which works towards accessing opportunities for safe, affordable housing primarily for working-age Jewish low-income adults and families in Greater Vancouver.

About TIKVA HOUSING

The purposes of the Society are:

(a) to acquire, construct, hold, supply, operate, manage and/or maintain housing accommodation and incidental facilities for low income families and individuals and functionally-handicapped individuals in British Columbia;

(b) to purchase, lease, hold, develop and improve any lands and buildings necessary or appropriate for the carrying out of the purposes of the Society;

(c) to establish and carry out education for, or primarily for, the Jewish community of Greater Vancouver and/or research programs relating to multi-family housing and community facilities within and/or outside the Jewish community of Greater Vancouver;

(d) to raise money through subscriptions, membership, donations gifts and/or any other means for the purposes of carrying out the purposes of the Society; and

(e) to do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the purposes of the Society.
