Dear friends and supporters,
Twelve years ago, our friends at the Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa generously donated a tractor for use at Tisarana. The tractor is used year-round for forestry work, grounds maintenance and snow removal. Not only does our tractor help Tisarana, but also helps our neighbours on Route 17A.
The tractor now requires extensive repairs, and the time is right to trade it in and replace it with a new one. We have created a new fund category in CanadaHelps called "Tractor Fund" on Tisarana's CanadaHelps page (use the drop-down menu to select the Tractor Fund). We invite anyone interested in contributing to donate via CanadaHelps if you would like a tax receipt.
Foreign donations for the Tractor Fund will be gratefully accepted via PayPal or Wire-transfer. In-person donations will also be gratefully accepted at the Monastery's donation box. We hope to replace the tractor in time for Kathina this year.
Luang Por Viradhammo, the Sangha, residents and the entire Tisarana community thank you for your ongoing support, continued friendship and openhearted generosity.
