TAPS works with and on behalf of low-income people in British Columbia, providing direct advocacy services and fighting for broader social change. TAPS believes that when low-income people understand their rights and responsibilities, and are given access to justice, then all in our society will benefit.
About TOGETHER AGAINST POVERTY SOCIETY (TAPS)
TAPS provides free face-to-face legal information, advocacy, and representation at appeals and hearings in the areas of income assistance, employment standards, and residential tenancy. TAPS is there to help when people receive eviction notices, have difficulty accessing income assistance and disability benefits, or get into a dispute with their employer. TAPS also provides training and workshops to the public regarding a person’s rights and responsibilities, and how to exercise those rights.
