Support Creativity at Gibraltar Point

Opened in 1999, Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts is located on the Toronto Islands, surrounded by 46 acres of parkland and adjacent to a beach on Lake Ontario. Its tranquil setting offers artists and creatives an ideal place to focus on their practice and projects, and makes for a unique event space for meetings, retreats, outdoor festivals, workshops and more.

More than 700 artists from across the globe experiment and create art through self-directed artist retreats and thematic residencies each year, hosted in our overnight accommodations. In addition to hosting a maximum of 20 visiting artists at any given time, 15 long-term artist work studios provide space for a range of painters, sculptors, musicians and filmmakers as well as a recording studio – all of whom contribute to the unique and collaborative atmosphere at Gibraltar Point.

This year marks the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Centre. This milestone marks a significant moment in this community cultural hub's journey, and we invite you to be a part of it by supporting the much-needed restoration of our beloved Centre.

Your gift will enable affordable residency fees for artists facing financial barriers, and it will also support repairs to this significant piece of Toronto history. To ensure the sustainability of the Toronto Artscape Foundation, a small portion of your donation will be allocated toward the Foundation's administrative costs.

Thank you for supporting creativity at Gibraltar Point.
