Lakefield Trail - Fundraising Campaign

Funds raised through the Lakefield Trail campaign will go towards the annual maintenance of the Trail, as well as the following two projects:

1. Extending the existing Trail from Smith Street to Young's Point Road

2. Reconstructing the Water Street boardwalk

When you make a donation to support the Trail you are automatically registered as a Friend of the Trail and will receive our newsletter.

Established in late 2000, the Lakefield Trail is a 5.5 km trail which, after meandering through the Village, connects to the Trans-Canada Trail via the Peterborough County Rotary Trail. All sections of the this multi-use Trail are fully accessible with historical interpretive signs that take you back in time, as they tell the story of Lakefield's notable literary past and canoe building heritage.
