Three House provides theatre training in performance and stage craft for youth ages 9-17 in central Alberta.
Tree House Youth Theatre was created in 1988, and was the brainchild of Richard O’Brien who was head of the Theatre Arts Program at Red Deer College (RDC) in Red Deer, Alberta. The aim of the program is to build theatrical interest and foster skills in the young people of central Alberta. The mandate of Tree House is to create meaningful theatre that challenges not only our performers and technicians, but also our audiences. Open to youth in central Alberta ages 9-17, Tree House strives to teach industry standards in performance and stage craft. THYT is an open and inclusive organization, where we do not turn away participants based on income and ability to pay for registration fees. We believe that finances should not be a barrier for the arts.
Tree House Youth Theatre is a not-for-profit charitable organization, creating extraordinary theatrical experiences for young performers in Central Alberta.
