Winterhawks 30 for 30 Fundraiser for Turning Leaf

The Winterhawks Red U9A1 are proud to partner with Turning Leaf Support Services – the amazing agency that Toban’s mom, Jen Biggs, is a Director with. The goal is to raise money in support of their Emergency Response Fund which enables Turning Leaf to help vulnerable people in crisis right now, and provide the unconditional acceptance, support and dignity they deserve.

Turning Leaf is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides person-centered, crisis and treatment services to vulnerable and marginalized individuals living with mental illness and intellectual challenge in our community.

Participants of Turning Leaf's programs are often deeply impacted by their circumstances which can become barriers to living safely and independently in our community. Trauma, homelessness, poverty, addictions, discrimination, sexual exploitation, societal stigmas, and lack of access to resources are some of the barriers Turning Leaf participants face every day. You can visit their website to learn more about the work they're doing in the community by visiting their website:

In support of Turning Leaf, our players will be committing to shoot 30 pucks, per day, for 30 days and will seek pledges accordingly. The total pledges a player raises can be made as a one-time donation amount (i.e., 10 pledges of $10/each would be made as a $100 donation). All donations $20 or more will receive a charitable tax receipt. You can issue a tax receipt at the time you made your donation.

The fundraising campaign will begin January 23rd and end February 21st.

This is a great opportunity for our players to share what they have learned about the important work Turning Leaf is doing in our community, raise some money for a worthwhile cause, and have some fun ripping a few pucks along the way.

Thank you for your support!
