Unison Choruses Canada ("Unison") acts as a national hub for Canadian 2SLGBTQIA+ choruses. These choruses provide a valuable safe space within their community for 2SLGBTQIA+ singers and allies. They also act as advocates and ambassadors for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community at large, raising awareness of 2SLGBTQIA+ issues and championing acceptance of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Unison facilitates connections between Canadian 2SLGBTQIA+ choruses and provides resources to help the choruses with administration, fundraising and programming.
Every four years, Unison brings the Canadian 2SLGBTQIA+ choruses together at a national festival. The Unison Festival is a non-competitive celebration of choral music in queer community. The next festival will be hosted in Halifax in 2023, May 19, 20 and 21rst.
