Our Mission
Grounded in love, the Unitarian Fellowship of Peterborough strives to be a welcoming community that embraces life with wonder and inquiry. Dedicated to our Unitarian Universalist principles and inspired by our interconnection with all that is, we foster personal transformation and act for a just and sustainable world.
About UNITARIAN FELLOWSHIP OF PETERBOROUGH
The Unitarian Fellowship of Peterborough is a vital liberal religious community serving Peterborough and the Kawarthas. Our weekly services, including programming for children and youth, are held at 10am on Sundays. We are a welcoming congregation, recognizing the rights and freedoms of all people, including those of the GBLTQ community. We meet at 775 Weller Street in Peterborough, a space that we share with Beth Israel Synagogue, and which is fully accessible.
UFP's Refugee Sponsorship Fund
The Unitarian Fellowship of Peterborough embraces refugee sponsorship as part of its ministry and mission. Gifts to this Fund have led to our successful settlement of a refugee family from Afghanistan, a single young person from Africa, and, currently, a Syrian family of seven. As funds accumulate and settlement volunteers are available, new sponsorships will be undertaken. Our committed volunteers provide tangible and emotional support as new families settle and adjust to their new life in Peterborough. Please join us in achieving our mission.
