The United Way Community Fund is the most powerful way to invest in your community, as 1 in 4 residents will be impacted by a local program, service, or strategy that United Way supports. When you contribute to the Community Fund, your dollars are going to 30 partner agencies and 43 programs and strategies that your family, friends, or neighbours require. By donating to the Community Fund, you are helping children, youth, families, newcomers, disabled individuals, and seniors in your area receive the services that are so invaluable in their daily lives. We support, collaborate, and invest in agencies that have proven impact. Through research, consultation and experience, we make sure the right people, organizations and skills are at the table to solve tough problems. While an emergency fix may help in the short-term, our goal is to create lasting change. We invest in programs centered around the following focus areas: Healthy People, Strong Communities, Moving people from Poverty to Possibility, and Helping Kids Be All They Can Be.

The Housing First Fund is a special purpose fund to support projects and services related to ending chronic and episodic homelessness in the Fredericton region. All dollars allocated to the Housing First Fund are used to support an end to homelessness in our community.

We have partnered with community members in the Nackawic area to establish the Nackawic Community Investment Fund. Our goal is to improve the quality of life of community members within Nackawic and surrounding areas through the direct investment of funds raised within the community.  The Nackawic and Area Community Fund offers opportunities for concerned and caring community members to give back to the community that has nurtured them. All investments align with United Way’s mission, and investment principles, and support change in one or more of our focus areas.
