We are United Way Maritimes — a donor-funded regional impact organization addressing the root causes of poverty and the priority needs of people most vulnerable to poverty in the communities we serve. Your donations to United Way Maritimes help people realize their full potential by keeping them housed, fed, safer and healthier, included and welcomed, and ready to successfully work and learn.
With dedicated local teams serving central and southwestern New Brunswick (Saint John & Central NB), Prince Edward Island and mainland Nova Scotia (Halifax, Pictou, Colchester & Cumberland, and Lunenburg counties); your gifts to United Way Maritimes are changing lives through funding to 128 community-based organizations. In addition, your support contributes to creating and delivering community-led solutions, collaborative partnerships, and advocacy for policy change and for the non-profit sector.
Collaboration across the region allows us to increase impact, reduce duplication, and share best practices. Our priority areas are interconnected and essential in helping individuals and communities overcome poverty and thrive. The programs funded thanks to your support are guided by community voices and backed by impact data. We’re committed to transparency, learning, and accountability in everything we do.
Help us by donating – your dollars will be used to strengthen the social infrastructure that supports and uplifts each community so that everyone has access to the skills, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive: economically, socially, and inclusively.
