Up and Running Guelph's mission is to improve mental health and well-being through inclusive running and walking programs within a supportive community. Our programs harness the proven benefits of exercise, nature, and social connections to provide a boost for mental health, and a companion to other treatments.

While "green exercise" is actively promoted by health professionals for  improving mental health, there can be significant barriers to getting active for those who are struggling with their mental health. We work to remove those barriers by delivering low cost, accessible programs led by peer volunteers who who understand and have training in mental health. Our focus is on building community rather than going faster and further. This unique approach helps participants take those critical first steps towards adopting green exercise as a tool for managing their mental health.
