About UPSTREAM OTTAWA

Upstream Ottawa offers two core Clinical Services; Intensive Case Management (ICM) and the Substance Abuse Program for African Canadian and Caribbean Youth (SAPACCY). Through these services, we annually provide long-term support to over 200 youth and adults in Ottawa who are living with severe and persistent mental health and/or substance use health challenges. Many of our clients additionally experience poverty, housing instability, food insecurity, and physical health conditions. Our Clinical Services are funded generously by Ontario Health. 

Our unfunded Wellness Services complement our Clinical Services to ensure wrap-around support for our clients. These services include client transportation, social and recreational outings, monthly luncheons, support groups, back-to-school/work assistance, and financial support for essentials like bedding, clothing, and groceries. Annually, these critical services cost Upstream Ottawa approximately $80,000. Our Wellness Services are made possible through fundraising efforts.
