Valley Animal Rescue is a foster-home-based animal rescue serving Renfrew County, with foster homes located throughout the Ottawa Valley.
Our organization is dedicated to rescuing animals and placing them into safe, permanent, and loving homes. Valley Animal Rescue is operated entirely by volunteers, and all our animals are cared for within the homes of our committed foster families.
VAR relies exclusively on donations and fundraising efforts to support the costs associated with caring for the animals.
Animals rescued into our program are from local pounds and shelters across Renfrew County when they are unclaimed and at risk. VAR keeps animals in their foster homes until a permanent home can be found.
