Preparing students for a life of transformation and service through excellent, Christ-centered education
HISTORY: The Vancouver Christian School association (VCS) was established in the 1930's and the school opened its doors in 1949. We are the oldest Protestant evangelical school in British Columbia. VCS is an independent interdenominational society representing over 110 churches.
NEED: As an independent school, we receive one half of the funding that public schools receive for operations; the rest comes from tuition. This covers the basic operational day-to-day expenses of our school. Money for minor or major capital needs must come from our community. VCS holds one major capital campaign each fall.
About Vancouver Christian School
The school endeavors to teach children that faith and learning go together through a distinctive Christian worldview. All parents are viewed as active partners with the school and are encouraged to participate in volunteering and supporting their children's education. The school association is a non-profit society and is parent-run.
The school is divided into 3 sections: K-5 Elementary, 6-8 Middle School, and 9-12 High School.
