We are proud to say that in our 2023 fruit season the Vancouver Fruit Tree Project harvested and redistributed a total of 10,502 lbs of fruit. VFTP  performed 76 picks including apples, pears, plums & quinces. We worked with 12 different community partners and even reached the 100,000 lbs milestone of fruit saved, harvested and redistributed since VFTP's inception in 1999! 

As we enter 2024, and celebrate our 25th year we hope to continue achieve our goals and visions in hopes to strengthen food security by celebrating and distributing the bounty of our local fruit trees, reducing fruit waste and cultivating community in our neighborhoods. VFTP envisions a food secure Vancouver where everyone has access to fresh, local fruit and the environmental impact of food waste is minimized. 

As a grassroots organization, we depend on fundraising campaigns to support our work and ultimately our community goals. We're starting our fundraising efforts in hopes that VFTP's 25th year can support our community further! Donations will help support the coordination of more fruit picks, the cost associated with transportation of fruit to community partners, materials and supplies for educational and skill-building workshops, and the replacement of fruit picking equipment.
