Bringing Musical Experiences to Children!
A VIS musician will visit every school in School Districts #68 (Ladysmith-Nanaimo) and #71 (Comox Valley) prior to our VI Symphony Education Shows.
Students learn about musical instruments, what a professional musician does, and they hear them perform. This offers students a connection with the musician, creating a more meaningful experience at our Education Shows. Schools often have the entire school attend the musician’s presentation, increasing the music education experience for all students at the school. 47 elementary schools are visited, reaching over 18,000 students.
