About the Vancouver Police Museum & Archives
The Vancouver Police Historical Society is a non-profit organization and registered charity, established in 1983. The Society’s original mandate was to foster interest in the history of the Vancouver Police Department and to create and maintain a museum depicting this history. In 1986, the Vancouver Police Centennial Museum opened its doors to the public.
Today we have broadened our scope to provide fun and educational programming for children and adults alike, to foster and rekindle people's love of detective work and forensic science - regardless of age, gender or socio-economic background. The Museum is located on the second floor of 240 E. Cordova Street, a 1932 heritage building that was formerly the Coroner's Court.
