Our Mission

Vancouver Talmud Torah (VTT) is a traditional Jewish community day school dedicated to excellence in an engaging and respectful learning environment. We foster an atmosphere where Jewish children can grow to become proud, caring, responsible and dedicated members of the Jewish people and Canadian society.

VTT is committed to providing an excellent education within an integrated Judaic and General Studies program.

We have a variety of funds to direct your giving:

Alumni Fund (supported by VTT alumni with proceeds funding special wish list items from the school)

Library Fund (a minimum $25 donation yields a book plate)

Lorne (z'l) & Sylvia Cristall Tikkun Olam Chair (supports school-wide tikkun olam programming)

Mitzvah of Valuing Philanthropy Fund (supports the Grade 7 teen philanthropy program)

Performing Arts Fund (supports the school's fine and performing arts, including the band program)

Strathcona Fund (supports the Grade 7 week long outdoor education program)

VTT Family Fund (allows our less fortunate families to fully participate in school life and Jewish traditions by providing necessities such as uniforms, school supplies, winter attire, medical assistance, hot lunch and monthly Shabbat dinners)

Should you have any questions about the different options, feel free to call Tirzah Abraham at 604.736.7307. Once you donate, CanadaHelps will automatically generate your tax receipt and will forward it to you electronically. VTT receives daily updates about all donations made to the school. You can either choose to have CanadaHelps send an e-card on your behalf or our Development Office can send a tribute card for you.
