The PLANT INCLUSION campaign has been launched with a focus on creating a better world for youth of all abilities. Times are getting more difficult for many families, especially those that care for one or more children with disabilities. We see many organizations like ours have already had to revisit and increase their fee structures and program costs are higher than ever. With our fee assistance and the backing of our donors, we have been able to ensure our classes and services are affordable to ALL who need them.
By planting inclusion together, we can make sure every child gets a chance to participate in youth programs, no matter what their ability and background is. Vecova is expanding spaces, introducing new courses, offering more fee assistance and doing everything we can to make it happen and your support matters.
People can join the movement and help PLANT INCLUSION by:
1) Making a gift to support the campaign now until August 31, 2024 and have their gift matched up to 50% by Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink. Whether it’s a one-time donation or joining us as a monthly supporter, every donation helps, and every donation shows the youth in our care that there is a small army of people cheering them on and paving the way for their participation in our programs.
2) Visit Vecova in person and purchase a seed packet: we need at least 500 families or individuals to join us to PLANT INCLUSION by planting some of our specially curated sunflower or pollinator mix seeds this summer.
Once you have planted your seeds, we would love for you to share your support of inclusion with us and others by submitting photos and messages online by using the hashtag: #PlantInclusion and tag us in your post @wearevecova. To find out more go to: www.vecova.ca/donate
