Victim Services of Durham Region offers a 7 day, 24 hour service to provide short-term immediate emotional and practical support to victims of crime or tragic circumstance.

About Victim Services of Durham Region

Victim Services of Durham Region recognizes the importance of all victims, witnesses and their families being treated with compassion, respect and having access to information concerning services available to them. Since 1998, Victim Services of Durham Region has been here to ensure that citizens in our community, affected by crime, and tragic circumstance receive the emotional support, practical assistance and access to the services that they need, when they need it most.

The program represents a partnership between the community, the Durham Regional Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police and the Ministry of the Attorney General.

Victim Services of Durham Region currently offers 4 programs to meet the immediate emotional and practical needs of victim and their families within the Durham Region.
